From humble beginnings in a hardware store and steel workshop in Playne Street Frankston, and with a staff of just four, Wolter’s opened its doors in 1976 to provide steel and hardware supplies to the building trade.

Backed by their now famous motto “If we haven’t got it, we will get it for you!” Wolter’s established a solid reputation for total customer focus and service excellence.  However, it didn’t stop there.  With a goal to provide added value for customers in the building and construction industry, Wolter’s diversified into fabrication further developing its products and services.

Eiji Fujihara, the company’s current managing director and proprietor joined Wolter’s in 1985 and saw the business establish a ‘competitive edge’ by expanding into a variety of project work including domestic, commercial and light industrial.

With a vision to make Wolter’s a “One Stop Building Solution Provider’, Eiji purchased the business in 1993 from its founder William Livingstone. Although steel, mesh and hardware were the company’s core products, additional services were developed including estimating, drafting, on-site installation, fabrication, and project management which today form part of the complete Wolter’s service.

Today Wolter’s has become a major reseller/distributor of reinforcement mesh/bar and accessories.  Due to its expertise and commitment to ongoing improvement in both service delivery and high quality product, Wolter’s has established strong relationships with numerous builders and major contractors in the building industry and of course, the general public.

With branches located in Carrum Downs, Pakenham and Mornington and with a fleet of trucks (including a large crane vehicle) Wolter’s is well placed to continue servicing Melbourne metropolitan, Mornington Peninsula and rural Victorian communities.

In 2005, Eiji made the decision to create an additional steel fabrication & construction business which headed by Michael Jeremiah, would focus on the commercial and industrial sectors as opposed to domestic areas.
